Join Jennifer for a 4 week healing and relaxing experience through the practice of Yoga Nidra.
What is it? Yoga Nidra is a gentle and specific guided method of moving your awareness into a deep state of rest while remaining alert. Different from meditation, yoga Nidra happens in the Alpha state of consciousness just before dreaming, and encourages a non-sleep deep rest, where the mind and body are fully relaxed, and consciousness is alert. Yoga Nidra incorporates meditation, affirmation, body-sensing, subtle breathwork, as well as working with feelings, emotions and guided imagery. When practiced regularly, people experience calmer thoughts, lower blood pressure, increased immunity, more restful sleep, improved memory, reduced chronic and acute pain, and a lift in overall well being.
This class is quiet and introspective, with plenty of time to breathe and develop connection to inner knowing that is always present.
Format:
Each 60 minute session begins with guided breath work to harness the energy of the mind, and a few gentle movements to release any grip of muscular tension, preparing you to be more spacious and receptive to the subtle body. You will then be guided through a meditation leading into yoga Nidra. Low lighting, ambient music, gentle crystal bowl sounds, and aromatherapy will be used to amplify your experience. Leave feeling calm, refreshed, and revitalized.

Week 2: Balancing Opposites
Week 3: Permission to Rest (iRest)
Week 4: A Walk Along the Beach

Bring a yoga mat, and dress in loose comfortable clothes. Props will be provided for added comfort.

Experience and enjoy the phases of movement, sound, vibration, silence, and stillness as you are skillfully guided through an all levels, deeply relaxing yoga practice followed by a period of vibrational sound healing and meditation. The bowls and healing instruments are not just meant to be heard by your ears, but felt in the form of vibration throughout the entire body to aid in enhancing mood, lowering blood pressure, and providing a path to the well being of knowledge and self healing available to us all.

A Journey into Stillness: A 40 Hour Functional and Restorative Yin Yoga Training
(Group or Private Training Available)

"A Journey into Stillness” is a 40 hour, 2 weekend program designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners with at least 1 year of yoga experience (all levels). Prior experience in Yin or Restorative yoga is not required but an open heart and mind, and a desire to learn is.
The Training:
Unique and informative - this training combines 30 hours of philosophy, anatomy, physiology, teaching methodology, personal reflection, guided insight, and practice. The remaining 10 hours are required reading and in studio Yin or Restorative yoga practice. This program is designed to help yoga teachers and students understand the benefits of Yin and Restorative Yoga practices, and the balance these methods help to cultivate within your body, physically, energetically, mentally and emotionally.
