Jennifer has been practicing yoga since 1996, and consistently since 2008. As a technology professional for nearly 20 years, she turned to running and roller blading in her earlier days to burn off steam. After several injuries, she tried her first yoga class and was instantly hooked, maintaining a consistent daily practice for many years. Jennifer received her 200 hour certification in early 2012 at Moksha Yoga Studio in Wellington, FL. She is currently studying to complete her 300 hour training certificate, focused on the subtle body, Yoga Nidra, advanced sequencing, advanced Anatomy, and advanced Physiology. Jennifer is also studying to complete an additional certification in Ayurvedic Nutrition .
Jennifer is passionate about using the many gifts yoga offers for her own self healing, as well as for sharing everything she learns. She is continuously enriching her practice and teaching tools through self practice, continuing education, and exploring fresh perspectives. Jennifer's teaching style offers students a way to connect from their outer most layer of being, to their inner most layers, through the guide of the breath and intentional practices. Jennifer has a clear and simple way of cueing movement to help a student build greater strength and flexibility, as well as proprioception and self awareness. Her teaching style also allows students to create a mental picture or sensory reference point for deeper self - connection, self - reflection, and relaxation.
Jennifer's experiences teaching, practicing, and studying different styles of yoga over the years enable her to offer many options in one class for different body types, inviting a more inclusive and empowering energy into the room. Jennifer enjoys threading bits of yoga philosophy through the class, offering ways to deepen the student's experience. Her compassionate and functional teaching approach and training background focus holistically on each student, their unique bodies, and their personal intention for practice. Jennifer hopes that her classes leave each student feeling amazing, empowered, and inspired to explore all of the 8 limbs of yoga through the inward journey of yoga.
